Independent information

This is an independent travel guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by London North Eastern Railway Limited (LNER) or any other train company. Nothing here is an offer to sell tickets or a statement of LNER's conditions of travel.

Accuracy

We research carefully and list our sources, but train times, fares, ticket rules, station facilities and attraction details change, sometimes at short notice. Information is provided in good faith as a general guide, as of the date shown. Always check the official train company, National Rail and attraction websites before you travel or buy. We are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on this site, except where the law does not allow us to exclude liability.

We link to other websites for tickets, hotels and attractions. We don't control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices, availability or privacy practices. Some links may be affiliate links — see our affiliate disclosure.

Our content

The text, maps and illustrations on this site are original work and may not be copied or republished without permission, other than brief quotations with a link back. Map outlines are based on Natural Earth public-domain data. Names of companies, stations and attractions are used only to identify them; any trade marks belong to their owners.

Photographs are not our work: each belongs to the photographer credited with it and is used under the Creative Commons or public domain licence shown alongside it. You may reuse a photo only on the terms of its own licence — see our photo credits page for the details and the original files.
